School has started

We're off and running with a new school year.  It already feels different!  Clarissa is taking 9 hours for duel enrollment credit at Drury University, along with working 3 days per week in the afternoons.  She's not around much.  :-( 

Rebecca is doing much of her work on her own this year.  I AM reading aloud to her some--but not much!  My days are mostly focused on Meredith and Matthew.  I'm trying to be a "fun" mom for them!  I'm proud to tell you that I've been singing to them nearly everyday--things like "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes."  We've been on walks to collect leaves and identify trees.  I'm a much more relaxed mom this year.

My ability to relax comes from the fact that I'm not running into town taking kids places all the time.  I only went into town 3 times this week--and 2 of those were on the same day!  Which means I didn't go ANYWHERE  3 whole days! Unfortunately, they weren't all in a row.  I am getting so much done around the house.  And I'm a relaxed homeschooling mom, probably for the first time in these 14 years of homeschooling.  That makes me happy!
